Ever since 2008, music fans around the country congregate to their favorite record stores on the third Saturday of April, to celebrate Record Store Day. Record Store Day is like Black Friday for record stores -- bands and their record labels release special vinyls, 7” 45 records,and CDs. Metallica started the holiday at Rasputin Music in San Francisco. Since then, it’s taken off and gone international.
