Things to do for fun during the break

As winter comes to an end and we all experience spring fever we look for fun things to do.
I have compiled a list of things to do in the spring time around Snohomish County. Let's face it, though, there are very few things to do in Snohomish County so you have to know where they are.
While exploring, I found a three-and-a-half acre outdoor paintball course in Snohomish called the Snohomish Outdoor Paintball Park.
General admission is on Saturdays only. The gates open at 10 a.m., but the first game does not start until 11 a.m. Games end at 4:00 p.m. Admission is $15 if you purchase paintballs or $20 if you don't purchase paintballs.
There used to be an indoor paintball course in Everett, but it burned down. Doodle Bug Sportz, the company that owns the paintball courses, is waiting for city permits to start building a new indoor paintball course in Everett.
Over in Lake Stevens there is a frisbee golf course next to Pilchuck Elementary School which doesn't cost anything to play, though you have to provide your own discs.
Another suggestion is to get some friends together and go to the park and play ultimate frisbee. This activity also doesn't cost a thing other than supplying your own Frisbee. A good park to play this at is McCollum Park in Everett on 128th St. This park has plenty of space to play.
If you like to exercise, you don't need to go far. Just put on your running shoes or grab your bike and head to the Centennial Trail in Lake Stevens, which offers miles of trails perfect for running or riding.
Anyone who has a need for speed can check out Traxx Indoor Raceway in Mukilteo. The go-kart facility offers competitive racing to all for $16.50, or $15 for members. This gives you one 20-lap race. Visitors who bring in an out-of-state license plate receive a half price race; bring two and get a free race.
These are just a few ideas to help you deal with spring fever; don't be afraid to find your own fun, too.
