Gears of War 2 review

Being a sequel to one of the greatest Xbox 360 games ever is hard to live up to, but Gears of War 2 delivers.

With new weapons, combat actions and multiplayer game types Gears of War 2 continues to impress fans of the franchise

The story begins 6 months after the end of the original game and does not fail to impress. Gears of War 2 has beautiful CGI along with abstract artwork, from its amazing, in-depth cut scenes to its gruesome in-game gore.

The big focus for Gears of War 2 is the extension to the storyline, which includes plot twists, dramatic appearances and even a little love story tied into it all. Those features alone do not make this game complete, what makes this game move along is the enemies and computer AI. With the introduction of some new enemies along with the classic locusts you faced in the first title, these new enemies tie into some of the plot twists.

To all die-hard gears fans, this game does not disappoint, it adds great detail along with some new features while still keeping the same Gears game play aspect. If you were a fan of Gears 1 fans or like shooter games then you have to buy this game. The online multiplayer also adds great replay to the title. Even if you're not into online gaming I highly recommend you pick up Gears 2 just for the story expansion, it will have you on the edge of your seat for at least 10-20 hours.
