There is a four-year university for anyone who wants a four-year degree. There are many options available to meet the needs of all kinds of students. Meet with an advisor and get the information you need to make a successful transfer. Each year, many students self-advise and each year some students may "self-advise" themselves out of applying for their top choice or even applying at all. It's not all about your G.P.A!

2008/09 facts from the University of Washington and Western Washington University Admissions:
The U.W. enrolled 1,557 transfer students last year, 65.6 percent of these applicants were from community colleges, with only 27 percent from other four-year colleges. There is a strong preference for students from the community college, because you have already proven that you can complete "college" level courses. As of this printing, the U.W has not sent out GPA information yet.
W.W.U. had 1,990 transfer applications with 1,380 admitted, 73 percent transferred from Washington Community Colleges. The middle 50 percent GPA range was 2.89-3.52.

It may be that a traditional institution is not the experience you are looking for, or traveling across the state is not an option. More and more, University Centers are opening on community college campuses, (like EVCC's new building!). Our University Center will offer four-year degree options from universities throughout the state. Please check out the EvCC website for a list of degrees and workshop dates introducing the different programs.
