Experience exotic cultures close to home
Date:
January 15, 2010 (All day)

Students don't need hundreds of dollars to go explore and learn about other cultures worldwide. The Everett Diversity Board is inviting students and staff, for to participate in free cultural trainings for various parts of the world starting Jan. 19 and continuing until July 20.

At the Everett Performing Arts Center at 2710 Wetmore Ave., people can learn about other cultures and connect with people in the community with similar interests in different countries. There are two sessions of the trainings available: session one runs from 9a.m. to noon and session two runs from 1p.m. to 4p.m.

The schedules for the trainings are:
Jan. 19: Middle Eastern
Feb. 16: Russian/Ukraine
March 16: African American
April 20: Native American
May 18: Latin American
June 15: Asian Pacific
July 20: African Refugee

Seating is limited, so students must RSVP for the training they would like to attend by emailing kreadon@ci.everett.wa.us. For more information, go to ww.ci.everett.wa.us.
